LearnWorlds Review: The Ultimate Platform for Creating and Selling Online Courses
In the ever-expanding world of online education, finding the right course platform to create and sell online courses on can be a daunting task.
If you’re someone with knowledge you want to share, being able to share and monetize your skills should be easy; you shouldn’t be forced to jump through hoops with course creation and distribution.
That’s where an LMS (learning management system) comes in.
With an LMS, users have all the tools they need to create an online course and distribute it through the course platform or on their own through third-party marketing tools.
Users can essentially create an interactive online school for their courses’ students, with advanced features like interactive videos and the ability to monitor their student’s progress.
One of the most popular platforms that provide these services is LearnWorlds, which not only allows users to create and monetize their online courses but also works on an enterprise level, meaning that users can use LearnWorlds to train and upskill employees within a company as well.
In this LearnWorlds review, I’ll go over what you get with a LearnWorlds account, what features LearnWorlds includes, its pros and cons, and finally whether or not you should use LearnWorlds as your course platform of choice.

Flexible Courses
The point of using LearnWorlds is to educate an audience in an engaging way while profiting off of your expertise, and LearnWorlds does a great job at giving its users flexibility to create courses in whatever format they want.

You can host content through a large variety of formats, which I’ll list below:
- Live sessions
- 1:1 meetings
- Group sessions
- Video
- Audio
- Interactive Ebooks
- Forms
- SCORM HTML5
There are more, but I don’t want to make this bulleted list too long. The point is that users have the freedom to create unlimited courses with many adjustable features and content delivery methods to educate your students and make some money from doing so.
Interactive Video
If you sell online courses, then you’ll want to make sure they’re engaging enough to not warrant a negative review or a refund. Normal videos are fine for this, but nowadays it’s difficult to keep peoples’ attention for a long enough time to deliver the info you want to deliver.
That’s why interactive video and gamification are both so important.

Through interactive video and gamification, you can draw attention from your viewers much more easily and they can digest the information you present to them much more simply.
You can all kinds of interactive content to your video library, some of which are shown above and below:

Once you’ve set up your interactive videos, you can get analytics on how viewers interact with the video and if they engage more because there is an interactive element to your content.
If you add something like a pop-up or a question to your videos, it’ll guarantee that your students are more engaged than they would be on other platforms.
Assessment & Survey Builder
Once your students have digested your interactive video content or other methods of delivering your info, it’s important to test them to make sure they’ve committed your content to memory. After all, you want to make sure they get the most out of content they paid for.

LearnWorlds’ assessment builder is both intuitive and in-depth, with 16 question types ranging from multiple choice to short answer, match question to even video/sound-based questions.
Once you’ve created an assessment, you can administer it through LearnWorlds’ secure testing engine where you can randomize question order, set a number of test attempts, provide downloadable feedback, and access all answer-based data.
Affiliate Program
Now LearnWorlds does have an affiliate program, but that’s not what I’m talking about when I mentioned “affiliate management” earlier.
No, I mean you can create your own affiliate program for your courses, and have people join that program to get a commission on your online course.

Affiliate programs are a great way to scale up your income, as you’re not paying anyone to advertise for you unless they make a sale, and you’re still making 70% of whatever sales those affiliate secure.
According to AMNavigator, ~10% of affiliates drive 90% of conversions, which means that utilizing an affiliate structure for your marketing can significantly increase net revenue for your product.
In order to set up an affiliate structure, you need to follow six fairly simple steps, listed below:
- Active the Affiliate Program from your online school’s dashboard.
- Set the commission you want to offer.
- Set the referral cookie expiration period & maturity period for the commissions earned.
- Enable affiliates to self-register & set what they can see.
- Select how affiliates will be paid.
- Pick the digital products your program will promote.
After these steps, you’re set, and can sit back and watch your new affiliates generate commissions.
Customer Support
LearnWorlds offers customers support through many different channels, which I’ll list below:
- Help center: LearnWorlds has an incredibly in-depth help center that all users have access to, with all the tools you might ever need to solve your problems. The information here can do anything from solving technical issues to helping you sell your courses more efficiently, like how a master class might teach you.
- Video tutorials: Along with the help center is a host of video tutorials which can teach users new skills on the LearnWorlds platform and help users solve any technical problems they find by themselves.
- Ticket support: If looking through the help center isn’t enough to answer a question, users can send a ticket to LearnWorlds’ trained support team to address their questions, issues, or technical problems.
- Email support: Similarly to ticket support, LearnWorlds’ customer support team can provide technical support to users who prefer email over a standard ticket format.
Integrations
From marketing and eCommerce to customer service, business automations, and payments, LearnWorlds lets its users connect with a total of 50 other apps to help sell your digital courses, and over 5,000 more if you include Zapier’s integrations as well.

The image above shows the different categories of integrations and the integrations from the “Financial” category. There are more integrations in the “Financial” category than in any of the others, but your options aren’t limited in any of those categories.
To note, however: if you use email marketing tools other than the ones listed below, you’ll either want to migrate to another platform or handle your marketing separately from your digital courses:
- MailChimp
- ActiveCampaign
- MailerLite
- ConvertKit
- GetResponse
- Moosend
- Aweber
- Constant Contact
On top of all of these integrations, LearnWorlds also offers users API access with which they can expand their back-end tech stack and expand their online school’s functionalities significantly.
As this is a back-end feature, this won’t mean much if you or someone on your team doesn’t know what to do with APIs, but it’s a great feature to have if you do have someone tech-savvy enough to use it.
LearnWorlds Pricing

While LearnWorlds isn’t free forever, they do offer a 30-day free trial for users to get a feel for the platform and make a decision on whether or not they want to go with LearnWorlds for their online courses.
As for their paid plans, there are four options: their Starter plan, their Pro Trainer plan, their Learning Center plan, and their High Volume & Corporate plan.
Starter
LearnWorlds’ Starter plan, at $49/mo plus $5 per course sale, includes basic features like the ability to create paid courses, build eBooks, exams/quizzes, and more. Plus, users have access to a limited site builder and a custom domain where they can sell their online course from, and 4 payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, Shopify, and Pagseguro) through which they can get paid.
As this is the introductory plan to LearnWorlds’ platform, users can only have one admin on their account and basic integrations with industry staples like Calendly for scheduling or Mailchimp for email marketing.
This plan is a great start for someone who wants to monetize their knowledge but isn’t ready to make a larger investment into the platform or wants to wait until they make some return from their courses.
Eventually that $5 transactional fee will outweigh the price of upgrading to the next plan, and it would only be logical to upgrade.
Pro Trainer
LearnWorlds’ Pro Trainer plan is where their plans stop including transaction fees for course sales, and, at $119/mo, includes unlimited free courses (and paid courses), live classes/webinars, a complete site builder, and the ability to create an affiliate program for your courses.
On top of this, users can integrate with Zapier, opening the door for over 5,000 integrations, alongside premium native integrations with platforms like Hubspot, Referral Candy, and Intercom.
This plan is for people who want to take their course creation to the next level, and since they now have access to LearnWorlds’ LearnWorlds Academy to help teach them how to monetize their skills, their trajectory should be on the up and up from there.
Learning Center
If you’re looking to not only create courses but create a brand, then the Learning Center plan is for you. At $349/mo, users can create interactive videos with things like quizzes and buttons, unlimited video hosting, 24/7 premium customer support from LearnWorlds’ customer service team, and, most importantly, users are able to fully white-label their brand with an iOS and Android app as well for an extra fee.
Additionally, users have access to LearnWorlds’ API, leading to a whole host of customization and integration options down the road.
This plan is for people who’ve graduated from just selling online courses by themselves to having a team behind them; not quite at a corporate level, but if you reach the point where you have employees as a part of your course creation, then this plan is definitely for you.
High Volume & Corporate
This plan is less for people who want to sell their courses online and more for people who have employees to train and upskill. You’ll have to contact sales for a price on this plan, but it includes 99.95% server uptime, premium cloud servers, unlimited admins & custom user roles, premium onboarding, a customer success manager, and much more.
If you want a comparison of these plans from the horse’s mouth, then here is LearnWorlds’ plan comparison page.
LearnWorlds Pros and Cons

LearnWorlds Review Conclusion: is it right for you?

In this LearnWorlds review, I’ve gone over LearnWorlds as both a course creation platform and a business training platform, along with the simplicity provided by LearnWorlds.
As an online course platform, LearnWorlds is nearly unparalleled, with all the features users could ever need to create and sell courses to their eager audiences.
Users can create a stunning online school that their learners can feel proud of attending, with their own custom domain and native mobile app to boot. The platform is essentially designed to be white-labeled, and building a brand is the best way to get your name out there.
